New Corumbene agreement approved by the Fair Work Commission

Posted on 29 May, 2024 in Aged Care

The new Corumbene agreement for general staff and nurses is now approved by the Fair Work Commission and will kick in on 4 June 2024.

For general staff, wages will increase by 3.5% on 1 July this year and a further 3.5% on 1 July 2025.

General staff members also get the benefit of these improved conditions:

- Increase in public holiday penalty for shift workers to 250% (up from 200%)
- New workload management and staff provision that requires Corumbene to adhere to ACQSC requirements and to hold regular consultative meetings to discuss rostering and staffing levels
- 3 days of designated pandemic leave
- 6 weeks of paid parental leave
- Extra 2 days compassionate leave where interstate travel is required
- 2 days paid leave for pregnancy loss

This is what being a strong union member achieves – better wages and gains in conditions. Stay united, and keep encouraging more workers to join HACSU.
