Wintringham restructure advice

We received an impact statement from Wintringham last week regarding changes to services at Wintringham and what this could mean for members.

Wintringham has announced a plan to restructure how its services are organised. The main change is that Tenancy Management will be separated from Homelessness and Client Support Services. The organisation says this is to improve how services operate and to better align with future funding and long-term strategy.

As part of this proposal:

• The Community Development Worker role is proposed to be made redundant
• A new part-time tenancy worker role will be created
• Some reporting lines will change, including for tenancy and administration staff
• The senior homelessness role will focus only on homelessness support

These changes may impact some members’ roles. Wintringham has stated that it will:

• First offer voluntary redundancy to affected staff
• Then offer redeployment opportunities where possible
• Only proceed to forced redundancies if those options are exhausted

If you are invited to a one-on-one meeting about these changes, we strongly encourage you to contact HACSUassist on 1300 880 032, to organise union representation. You should not attend these meetings alone.
