HSO Review: Ghosting from Government, bans back on again

Posted on 9 September, 2024

Public Sector

The government has once again failed to show any respect to HSO workers when they missed the deadline on Friday. Despite their promise to respond to your feedback from last month’s meetings, where you raised important questions about their proposal, they’ve failed to deliver.

It’s outrageous that they continue to miss deadlines and take your hard work and goodwill for granted. You said enough was enough back in July and forced them to put this offer on the table. You paused industrial action in good faith to provide your feedback and get the answers you deserve. However, with them failing once more to simply get their job done, the industrial action will resume.

Our demand is clear: the government need to answer your questions and put forward a genuine complete so that you can vote on whether you agree to the proposal or not.

Industrial action will restart on Thursday 12 September at 7am.

Stay tuned for our updates and stay connected with your organisers, delegates and fellow union members at work. If you have any questions or need further information, reach out to us via email at [email protected] or call 1300 880 032.

For more information about this or any other industrial matter, members should contact HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or email [email protected] or complete our online contact form
