HACSU kick up a stink about sewerage at Glenorchy

Posted on 9 November, 2023 in Health Services Industry

You might’ve heard about a recent incident at the Glenorchy Hobart Pathology collection site which left sewerage bursting from taps and the site temporarily shut down.

As soon as we learned about this, we exercised our right to perform a workplace health and safety inspection and spoke to you about your concerns.

Now, we’ve also chased up your employer this morning to ask them why there’s still been no answers about making sure you’re safe at work.

Health and safety is union business – so if you have any concerns about what happened at Glenorchy or are aware of any other safety issues in your workplace, get in touch with me on 1300 880 032 or via email at [email protected]

Everyone deserves to be safe at work.

For more information about this or any other industrial matter, members should contact HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or email [email protected] or complete our online contact form
