We met with you Friday and again yesterday after receiving the Department’s written confirmation that you will receive your allowance and backpay in the next pay.

This confirmation is because of your unwavering solidarity and willingness to stand up for each other.

Your collective voice is loud and clear: you will start industrial action and implement your bans immediately if the promised payment does not find its way into your accounts by the award pay day of 21 September. We’re confident the Department are not going to let you down.

The Department have also committed to progressing the promotion without advertising submission to the State Service Management Office in the two weeks following 20 September.

We’re pushing for a follow-up meeting and details about the security review too. We’ll let you know what’s happening as soon as we have an update.

The progress we've achieved thus far is a direct result of your resolve, and we’ll work together to make sure this process is seen through until the end and in a timely fashion.
