Awaiting answers.

Recently we wrote to HR and the CEO at Southern Cross Care about several matters raised with us by members who work at Yaraandoo.

In short, the topics we covered with them are:

  • Reports that staff have been refused PPE
  • COVID-positive staff offered COVID-19 leave, but leave being taken from their sick and annual leave without prior discussions with them
  • Direction from management to take hydration and meal breaks outside
  • Daily issues with the facility manager’s dogs inside the facility
  • Poor handling and direction of the recent COVID outbreak

Remember you have the right to ask questions about things that affect you in your workplace but if you feel you can’t, we’re here for to raise them for you – just one of the many benefits of being a union member. We’ll update you once we get a response from management.
