Southern Cross Care sent a notice for change on Wednesday to try to lock in their cuts to the kitchen/servery.
To jog your memory, they want to cut hours in the kitchen by about 150 hours per week – basically, they want to slice kitchen hours in half.
In response to questions about workload, workplace health and safety and resident welfare, Southern Cross have given non-answers and refused to provide any real detail.
It looks like they've given us no choice but to take this to the aged care regulator (ACQSC) next week to try to force them to address the problem.
The more complaints and more detail the regulator gets, the more likely they are to step in.
