Unsurprisingly, Kate claimed to be unaware of the issues, and said she only has knowledge of one or two occasions of this occurring caused through absenteeism, and said that if we want her to investigate further, she needs details of occasions when mistakes had been made.
This is where you come in, as we need you to give us examples (payslips, rosters, etc) in order to progress the dispute.
There are clear obligations around the altering of rosters and payments of outstanding wages that need to be followed here and we need to show Kate if they aren’t being followed. You can provide us with examples anonymously.
Any evidence of examples can be emailed to email@example.com, subject: Att T Baker
If you don’t have the means to scan and email it, call us on 1300 880 032 to arrange for it to be picked up.
From what we hear since we raised this issue there have been fewer problems, but we still need to get to the bottom of it.
If we want these practices to stop, we all need to band together.
On another note, we’re currently awaiting updated advice on the impact of the new social distancing measures announced yesterday on cafeterias at Tasmanian hospitals. We’ll keep you in the loop as things develop.
