We met with representatives from your board last Friday for discussions about what was happening at Warrawee.
The conversations were respectful, and the board indicated how much they appreciate the work you do and the values you bring to the organisation and that they wanted all staff to continue with the organisation.
Your employer said that they believe a manager position was needed and that they believe you all would agree with that. However, they did say that they would need to do some restructuring to be able to put this position on. At the meeting, they committed to ensuring that staff would not be financially disadvantaged by this.
They’ll hold a meeting in October to consult on how to achieve this. (A new date is now needed as many staff are unavailable on 1 October when the meeting was originally scheduled for).
Your employer also agreed that your current agreement will continue until at least March while they work through all these issues.
We also talked about whether the new manager position could be recruited from current staff, and they said they’re open to discussing this.
