Uniting AgeWell: Concerns about training new homecare staff answered

Fiona from UAW has confirmed she’s confident that with the mix of existing and new staff, training has been suitable and streamlined in the northern office with no issues identified to date.

Phones and rostering transitioned to the north last week, and the north west office transition has been completed with minimal issues, and Fiona said they’ll continue to monitor the new process to ensure it's embedded and working well.

Their planning and decision-making is guided by government and health department guidelines and advice to continue ensuring the well-being and safety of clients and staff.

Uniting AgeWell have implemented appropriate social distancing in your offices, with several staff working from home, and they're also working with their IT department to ensure there's appropriate equipment to support further expanding this arrangement.

UAW have assured us they have comprehensive manuals and instructions available so staff can access clear guidance on duties, and they're mindful that staff are at the centre, so are actively working to ensure you have appropriate support.
