Uniting AgeWell booster vax

By this Saturday?

We’re aware that UAW are sending you email after email saying you must've received your booster shot by 12 February, despite there being no public health direction for boosters and that people are facing a whole range of difficulties with getting a shot in time.

This is even more strange if you heard the CEO of OneCare on the radio this morning mentioning there was no mandate in place yet for their workers to be boosted.

We know UAW tend to copy a lot of their policies from Victoria and apply them to Tasmania, but this time it's introduced some problems.

With school back and the recently reduced waiting period between shots, appointments are increasingly hard to come by.

Some workers have also mentioned having had COVID recently, being in isolation or not being at work when clinics have been on.

We’ve called on UAW to hold their horses so issues can be dealt with but, in the meantime, if you have any problems getting a booster, email either HR or your manager and let them know ASAP while we wait to hear back from their head office.

If you come across further issues with HR or management, please give us a call via HACSUassist.
