We’ve asked for an audit on the pay owed to you.

Community Care workers told us that Uniting AgeWell have stopped paying you for the time it takes to collect, drop off and fill up the pool car – that is 10 minutes for picking up the pool car prior to shift, 10 minutes for filling the car with petrol and 10 minutes to drop the car back at the office.

Your employer must pay you for those periods because travelling between clients by company car is part of your job.

We wrote to UAW management yesterday and asked them to conduct an audit for all affected employees who have been short for those pays. We also asked them to confirm by close of business on 18 May that they intend to comply with this equest.

We'll update you once we hear from UAW.
