It seems like ages since we’ve had any news for members working in Finance & Business Support in Health and THS, and that’s because it’s been ages since we’ve heard anything!
In late 2019 all the change processes in your area were suspended, then in March this year we were told a new change proposal would be developed and the Band 8 Business Support Manager positions would be extended on a temporary basis while the proposal was developed.
Despite the pandemic’s disruption and its effect on health we still haven’t been provided with any additional information.
At a late October meeting with the CFO and a director we were assured no actual changes were occurring, that a change proposal could be expected sooner rather than later and that the agency was keen to get on with what needed to be done.
It’s now a week until Christmas and we haven’t heard so much as boo.
We know the state-wide revenue manager position remains unfilled, that there have been some small but significant changes made without consultation and that several of you remain anxious about the ongoing uncertainty.
We wrote to the CFO today to advise that we’ll be out and about in the new year to talk to our members and come up with a plan to get some movement and discussion occurring with everyone who works in these vital roles.
