We contacted St Michaels earlier this month about concerns that had been raised regarding new Individual Flexibility Agreements (IFAs).
The IFAs appeared to have big problems.
Firstly, they were not compliant with your workplace agreement.
Secondly, they referred to a policy that St Michaels write and can change. It’s not locked in as part of the agreement with legal effect. This means your employer is able to change them down the track without your input.
We have contacted John to get to the bottom of this.
In the meantime, if you are asked to sign the IFAs, just say the union has advised you not to until we hear back from St Michaels.
