St Giles staff agreement

Fair Work has given approval.

HACSU has been notified that the St Giles Society Ltd Support Services Enterprise Agreement 2022 has been approved by the Fair Work Commission with 3 improvements your employer must make as a condition of approval – known as ‘undertakings’.
The undertakings are:

  • With respect to clause 17(b) of the agreement, the employer will not make any deductions of wages unless authorised by the relevant employee in writing.    
  • With respect to Schedule 3Cl 4.2 of the agreement, the employer undertakes to pay a minimum of $91 per week to supported wage employees.
  • The employer undertakes that the agreement will be read and interpreted in conjunction with the National Employment Standards (NES). Where there is an inconsistency between this agreement and the NES, and the NES provides a greater benefit, the NES provision will apply to the extent of the inconsistency.

Your new workplace agreement supersedes the previous one and will operate from 15 April 2022 to 14 April 2025. A copy should be available for you to view in your workplace. Hopefully you’ve received your back pay by now and can now move forward knowing your new workplace agreement is in place.
