Next week's bans

Momentum is building and next week we are stepping our action up by implementing further bans and holding our first two stop work meetings.

HACSU delegates met again this week, here’s our plan:

We’ll be starting the following two additional bans at all SCC sites at 7am on Wednesday 23 March:

  • Stop catering for management functions
  • Leisure and lifestyle employees stop delivering morning or afternoon tea

These are in addition to the current bans. We’ll also be holding our first stop work meeting from 2.30-3.30pm at Mount Eskin Launceston on Wednesday. Then on Friday 25 March we are having a stop work meeting from 2.30-3.30pm at the southern Hobart Rivulet site.

Your bans are having an effect, and if we can continue to stand together we will succeed in keeping your workplace entitlements including paid meal breaks and ensuring you get a fair pay rise. We’re looking forward to seeing you soon. If you have any questions, please give us a call.
