SCC agrees to recommence bargaining.

After more than a month of silence from management we finally received a response to the letters we've been sending - and guess what - SCC have agreed to recommence bargaining for a new staff agreement.

It is disappointing they wouldn't respond until we threatened to go the Fair Work Commission, but still this is an important step in the process to ensure members get improved wages and conditions.

We're still waiting on the actual date to be confirmed, and will let members know when it's locked in, but SCC management have committed to restarting negotiations next month.

Last year members endorsed a log of claims for better wages and conditions, so over the next few weeks we're coming around to check members are still happy with what they endorsed last year as their wish list for bargaining.

If anyone's interested in getting more involved in negotiations, please call HACSUassist on 1300 880 032.
