Yesterday we wrote to SCC’s CEO about bargaining for the new staff agreement.
Negotiations for the replacement agreement were suspended at the height of the COVID-19 crisis on the proviso that we would be back to the table as soon as circumstances allowed, so back in August we said it was time to get back to it.
Despite a month passing since our request to recommence negotiations all we’ve heard is crickets.
We’ve told SCC that if they don’t agree to come back to the table we'll be going to Fair Work seeking an order to make them do so.
Is a meeting really too much to ask for? We don’t think so.
Members' pay and conditions matter, even if SCC don’t want to talk about it.
