It’s time

Congratulations on successfully deciding to take the next step and start industrial action if SCC management continue to pursue cuts to your working conditions, including paid meal breaks.

Your HACSU delegates will be meeting on Tuesday to develop a plan for the implementation of industrial action if it’s needed.

If management continue to ignore you, it's likely that industrial action will start on Friday 4 March.

You and your colleagues have made it very clear to SCC with your votes on their proposed agreement and on taking industrial action that you won’t let them slash your pay or entitlements.

We’ve written to the CEO again asking to recommence bargaining urgently and for them to commit that they will give you a fair pay raise and stop pursuing cuts to your conditions. Management can avoid industrial action if they agree to this very reasonable request – if not we’ll need to stand together and show SCC you won’t take any cuts lying down.

We’ll give you another update on the situation after Wednesday’s delegates meeting and let you know about the first actions we’ll be taking if necessary.

By standing together through this, we will protect your working conditions and ensure you receive your much deserved pay rise.
