Let’s keep up the fight

A huge congratulations to Southern Cross Care members for standing up to their dodgy deal and voting NO to their atrocious enterprise agreement.

The no vote was an overwhelming rejection of SCC’s attempt to strip your work conditions and you should feel proud of the message you sent.

As we continue to advance your claims at the bargaining table, we are also preparing to take industrial action.

In coming weeks, HACSU members will get a ballot from the Australian Electoral Commission asking you to endorse industrial action. We urge every member to keep up the fight and get involved in this action, because you have the power, and you can win this by standing together.

Remember you can only participate if you are a member, so if any of your colleagues aren’t yet HACSU members, now is the time to encourage them to join the union for aged care workers.

If your address has changed since joining HACSU, it’s important to update your details with us to make sure your ballot is sent to the correct address.

To update your address, please email assist@hacsu.org.au or call us on 1300 880032. If you have any questions or concerns, please also contact us.

For more information about this or any other industrial matter, members should contact HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or email assist@hacsu.org.au or complete our online contact form
