A resounding message from staff

The results from Friday’s sneaky Southern Cross Care ballot are in… and it’s an overwhelming NO from workers!

639 voted, with 565 voting against SCC’s hostile agreement and only 74 voting to accept it, sending a huge and very clear message that workers won’t be treated with such contempt.

Southern Cross must show staff the respect and recognition they deserve by negotiating a fair agreement that doesn’t cut wages and conditions, and we’re writing to them now to get them back to the table.

We must keep the pressure on and need to prepare for industrial action in case SCC don’t acknowledge the outcome of their own ballot.

This an amazing and comprehensive victory to stop them taking away your working conditions so let’s keep it going.

Keep up the great work,
