It’s now okay to sign the variation form.
Southern Cross Care confirmed that if you were employed with Bupa before the SCC takeover last year, you will receive the benefit of the most favourable conditions of both the Bupa Agreement and the SCC Agreement.
We’ve checked members’ contracts signed in November last year when SCC took over. It clearly states:
“Any more favourable terms of the Bupa South Hobart Agreement 2018 will apply, for the duration of your employment with SCC”.
Thanks to members who contacted us and raised their concerns, so doubts are settled now. You should never sign anything without HACSU looking over it first!
