We’ve heard back from Southern Cross Care.

They’ve asked for bargaining around the new agreement to be postponed for 6 months because of the COVID-19 pandemic, so we’re looking at recommencing negotiations in October.

On the plus side they have come to the party with a wage offer of 3% from the first full pay period commencing on 24 February 2020, which means staff would be entitled to 1% backpay from that date (but not the full 3% because of the 2% increase received earlier this year).

We need to know what staff think about the wage offer, and we’ll be calling as many as we can, but if members click on the link below they'll be able to complete the survey in under a minute then we can report back to SCC on their behalf.
