Time to allow good faith negotiations

Because of your amazing efforts, SCC management have agreed to come back to the negotiation table and withdraw their threat to take away your paid meal breaks. As a result of this, your delegates have decided to lift current bans to allow good faith negotiations on outstanding matters, including wages increases.

We’ll make it clear to SCC at Thursday’s meeting that we will reinstate industrial action unless they offer a decent pay rise and withdraw proposals to cut conditions around superannuation and handover.

We’ll update you following Thursday’s meeting. We will also be visiting workplaces over the next week or two and bringing along some morning or afternoon tea to celebrate your efforts in protecting your rights at work. Keep up the great work together. We are strong.
