It’s time to vote in your industrial action ballot

After your very successful NO vote to stop SCC’s unfair agreement, now it's time to vote again – and this time, we think you should vote YES.

You should receive your postal ballot from the Australian Electoral Commission either late this week or early next week.

The ballot is required by the Fair Work Commission for you and your colleagues to be able to legally take industrial action to assert pressure on your employer to back away from taking away your current working conditions and ensure you get a fair pay rise.

Your HACSU bargaining committee strongly recommend you vote YES to each of the listed bans, so that we can collectively take the action against SCC. For the ballot to be successful we need over 50% of members to vote and the majority of those votes to be in support of each ban.

It is vital that all members vote and have their say. To make sure it’s as easy as possible for you to vote, our organisers will visit all Southern Cross Care worksites statewide and assist you to get your sealed vote to the Australian Electoral Commission.

We’ll shortly let you know the times and days that we will be visiting you. If you have questions, please ask a HACSU organiser or your workplace delegate or call HACSUassist on 1300 880 032.

For more information about this or any other industrial matter, members should contact HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or email assist@hacsu.org.au or complete our online contact form
