Hospital Aides can’t be bamboozled!

We’ve lodged a dispute at the Tasmanian Industrial Commission around the statement of duties that appeared from nowhere for Hospital Aides at the Royal Hobart Hospital and other THS sites in the south of the state.

It just so happens that the new SOD – the one that mysteriously materialised in August – is identical to one that LGH comrades were consulted widely and properly about.

Since then we’ve tried to find out who knows what about it and when THS were planning on talking to RHH members about the changes - and perhaps even ask for their input – but at the time of writing, no one at THS is saying a word.

Given no one wants to talk to members or us about it, and that the proposed SOD is clearly a change, we’ve asked the Tasmanian Industrial Commission to help us try and resolve the dispute.

We’ll let members know what the next step will be as soon as we can.

In the meantime, don’t listen to any nonsense about a change to your SOD, and if you have any questions please call HACSUassist.

For more information about this or any other industrial matter, members should contact HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or email assist@hacsu.org.au or complete our online contact form
