This morning we told the Director of Hospital Support Services that the temporary fix housing for the button to operate the compactor at the RHH is not adequate in inclement weather.

We have advised that we are banning its use in poor weather conditions for your safety.

If you or any of your coworkers are directed to use the compactor in this weather, call your delegate and call HACSUassist immediately.

The ban will remain in place until a satisfactory solution is provided.

Workplace safety is and always will be union business.
