Voting for the new Respect Aged Care workplace agreement ended at midday today.
The votes have been counted and 87.28% of the votes that came back were in favour of the proposed agreement.
Management will now send the agreement to be lodged with the Fair Work Commission, who will have the final say on whether it is approved.
Members will remain under the current agreement until the new one is approved, and management should let staff know once that occurs.
Congratulations to everyone who took the time to vote and have their say. Regardless of whether you were a yes or a no vote, at least you can say you have a voice and you used it!
