We understand that Regis, like some other aged care providers, have started to regularly provide their workers with a RAT before the commencement of shifts.
But we're told that at Regis you’ve been asked to come to work early to do the test, which begs the question: Are you getting paid for the time this takes?
If not, this is a definite no no, because if your employer directs you to start 15 - 20 minutes before a shift you must be paid for that 15 - 20 minutes.
Have you encountered this? What do you reckon?
Let us know if you’re not getting paid for the earlier start time by contacting HACSUassist assist@hacsu.org.au
