Bargaining has gone on for far too long

After so many meetings being cancelled and many at the last minute, we finally got to meet with Queen Victoria Care (QVC) to continue bargaining for your Non-nursing and Nurses Agreements.
 
We were expecting QVC to offer a better pay rise and backpay and hand in their draft agreement at today’s meeting. Unfortunately, we didn't get either.
 
Below is what QVC have agreed to at this stage:

  • 3-year agreement
  • 2.5% wage increase per year
  • Allowances to increase in line with the wage offer
  • RN in-charge allowance $30 per shift
  • Free access to the pool and gym (outside resident times)
  • Annual scholarship at the discretion of CEO for RNs, ECAs and service staff
  • Cashing out of annual leave


We’ve stressed to QVC that they need to tell us whether they’ll offer a better pay rise and backpay and provide us with the draft agreement before we meet again.
