Talks have started.

We met with senior managers yesterday to start negotiations for your new staff agreement and we tabled the log of claims you recently endorsed and locked in future meetings where your HACSU negotiating team will outline why we need to improve your wages and conditions.

We’ve made it clear to management that due to the cost of living workers are under unprecedented pressure to pay for basic things like mortgages, rent, petrol, groceries and electricity. That means, more than ever, you need a decent pay rise and improved conditions for things such as staffing levels and workloads, long service leave and sleepover payments including when you're on annual leave.

We now need to finalise your HACSU bargaining team to ensure we have representatives from all regions, so if you want to get involved you'll need to be available every second Thursday for a few hours to help us negotiate the best possible agreement for workers at Oak Possability. If you're interested in this role, please give us a call.

The first bargaining meeting is scheduled for Thursday 22 September and we'll update you after that. In the meantime, if you have any questions or need more information, please contact HACSUassist on 1300 880 032.
