We received notification from your employer last night of the impending closure of the Lampton Avenue site by the end of September this year.
Oak requested feedback from HACSU to their change impact statement by close of business on Friday 20 August, but they don't want us to share this initial information with you until they have reviewed our feedback.
How the heck can they make such an unreasonable request and call this “consultation”?
We’ve made it crystal clear with Oak: HACSU is a member-driven organisation, so we cannot and will not provide any feedback to them until we’ve met and discussed this significant change with our members.
We told them that we can only provide feedback on your behalf by COB on Friday 3 September after we've met with you.
To do this, firstly we need to hear and understand your questions and concerns about this issue.
So please let us know the best time to meet with you at the Lampton Avenue site, Lampton car park, or if you’d like to meet at the HACSU office in New Town after you finish for the day.
If you have any other questions, also feel free to contact HACSUassist on 1300 880 032.
Remember that there is safety in numbers, so if you know of any of your colleagues who aren't yet HACSU members, then now is the time to encourage them to join.
