Thanks to workers getting in touch with us – and no thanks to Southern Cross Care – we are aware that SCC are intending to make some significant and potentially devastating changes.

So far, we have only received a brief letter from them with no detail which leaves them in breach of their own workplace agreement. To say this is disappointing would be an understatement.

HACSU have requested an urgent meeting with management today to find out more information about SCC’s intended changes.

We will let you know as soon as we have the details and, as always, we will fight tooth and nail to defend aged care workers’ rights and the wellbeing of residents.
