Let's take it to the street

HACSU public sector members have strongly endorsed state wide industrial action for Wednesday 9 November.

Now it’s time for us to stand together and send a strong message to the Rockliff Government that we will not accept a subpar wages and conditions offer that fails to recognise your hard work and dedication.

  • When: 1.45pm, Wednesday 9 November (Walk off the job from 1-4pm)
  • Where: Parliament Lawns, Hobart
  • Register here

You’ve been called heroes and are being lauded for carrying our community through a pandemic even as your services have been eroded over recent years, but the government does not want to get serious about your conditions and wages.

Workers everywhere are saying enough is enough. Now it’s our turn.

We need wage rises that keep pace with inflation and conditions that address the critical issues of attraction, retention, and staffing. To make this happen, we need everyone to get on board and come to the rally in your area.

You will be joined by teachers, firefighters, cleaners, school staff, other public sector workers, union members, and many community members who rely on public services.

The government need to listen to their workers, because they can’t afford not to.

Join the action! It’s time.
