Privacy concerns resolved.

After workers raised concerns about the new MYP system, we wrote to Nigel and said that staff were ok with using the system to do shift reports, to check in and out of shifts, to apply for holidays and check clients’ information etc., but they were worried about their personal information that could be seen by fellow staff members.

We told Nigel whilst no one believed that anyone would use the information for personal gain, some staff were uncomfortable that any staff member that logged in was able to access other staff members’ personal details such as their address, phone number and date of birth.

Nigel has now looked into the matter and said that:

"I believe we have identified the permissions issue in MYP and that this has been resolved. I would be keen to ensure this is the case, so if any of our staff believe there is still an issue now can you please let me know."

Thanks to members for raising their privacy concerns and ensuring that workers’ personal information remains confidential. After all, you should make the choice whether to let your fellow workers know where you live or when your birthday is.

If you believe that the issue is still ongoing and the information can still be seen, please contact Nigel and let him know so he can rectify the error.
