Have you been told by Mosaic Support Services that you have to quarantine as your management have identified you as a close contact to a positive COVID-19 case from work?
This is not a fair or enforceable direction.
If Mosaic want you to quarantine on their terms, they should pay you your current projected work roster while you stay at home until they deem it’s safe for you to return to work, otherwise they’re simply trying to rip you off by debiting your annual or personal leave accruals to cover for your absence from work.
Your employer also is obliged to keep you safe at work, which means providing you with the appropriate PPE where and when you need them. You should have access to P2-N95 face masks, gowns, gloves, goggles, face shields etc when supporting a client who’s COVID positive or has been identified as a close contact.
COVID is no excuse to rip workers off. It’s more important now than ever to have your protection at work so if any of your colleagues are not yet HACSU members, now is the time to encourage them to join the union for disability workers.
