In early June we wrote to Melaleuca following their revised offer for a new staff agreement that was based on members signing away their paid meal breaks in the next agreement.
After surveying workers it was clear they didn't want that - with good reason - so we said to Melaleuca that while we weren’t agreeing to anything for the next agreement they could put out the proposed one, with paid breaks included, to vote.
On Friday we heard back, and they’ve said no, they aren’t going to put it to a vote.
This means that the paid breaks stay, but it’s unclear what Melaleuca are intending to do other than that when it comes to the proposed agreement. We’ve written to them asking for them to clarify and we’ll keep members in the loop as things progress.
