Agreement vote starts next week.

Odette will be visiting and talk about the Melaleuca vote at 12pm on Wednesday 3 March.
Remember the voting period opens at 10am on Tuesday 2 March and closes at 10am on Tuesday 16 March.

If you’ve lost track of what's on offer with this agreement after the many months of negotiations, here are some reminders:

  • The big-ticket items are still the pay offer and paid meal break cut.
  • The wage offer is 3% in July 2021, 2.5% in July 2022 and 2.5% in July 2023.
  • But paid meal breaks are still on the chopping block for all staff except RNs.

When it comes to some of the argy-bargy around contentious conditions, the offer currently contains these improvements:

  • Public holidays increased to double time and a half.
  • Buddy allowance increased to $1.25, preceptor allowance increased to $3.50.
  • Compassionate and bereavement leave increased to 4 days paid.

We will be there next week to talk more about the agreement. See you then.
