They will keep your paid meal breaks!

Both the non-nursing and nurses draft agreements went out to vote recently and, not surprisingly, workers did not accept Melaleuca taking away their paid meal breaks so voted no to both agreements.

By standing firm together, you've forced Melaleuca management to change their position and give up the cuts.

For both agreements, Melaleuca have made these changes:

  • Existing employees will continue to receive paid meal breaks.
  • Employees who start working after the new agreement will not receive paid meal breaks (as per the agreement that went to vote).
  • Wage increases will be changed to 3% for the first year, 1.75% for the second year and 1.75% for the third year.

Except for the above, other conditions will be the same. You can expect they'll put up amended draft agreements with these new offers for you to vote again soon.

Congratulations to all of you for stopping a proposal that would worsen your working conditions - it's only because of you that Melaleuca made this big change.

United we stand, together we win!
