We wrote to the general manager of operations expressing members concerns about continually turning up to work and being short staffed and I want to keep you in the loop as to what MCT are doing to rectify the issue, so here’s the response I received:
“MCT continues to actively recruit at all three facilities to increase our casual and PPT workforce pool.
MCT is currently reviewing the rostering at all three sites and is advertising EOIs from employees for ECA Vacant Lines. Freemasons vacant lines have already been advertised and Peace Haven vacant lines are scheduled next.
Our current recruitment drive will enable us to continue and maintain an adequate staffing pool with appropriately skilled staff to ensure that the needs of our residents are met and that we comply with the requirements of the COVID-19 Worksafe framework and our own COVID-19 workforce strategy.”
