It's time to put the pressure on

Since we provided your feedback to Mary Ogilvy Homes Society, we have now managed to get them to include the annual Fair Work minimum wage increase in your wage offer to ensure that you don’t fall below the Award. This is their wage offer now for the 3-year agreement:

• 2023:  5.75%

• 2024:  3.5% or FWC increase whichever is greater

• 2025:  3.5% or FWC increase whichever is greater

But Mary Ogilvy still have no intention to improve the other conditions that you feel strongly about, including measures to address bullying and harassment, safe staffing and workload, 7 days’ paid pandemic leave, a $2 per hour buddy shift allowance, and lastly, paying your superannuation fortnightly.

MOHS clung to the idea that what they’ve proposed currently is reasonable and do not wish to make any further changes to their offer. They said they’ll put the agreement out for you to vote on within the next couple of weeks.

Now the only way we could win the conditions you need and deserve is to take action and vote NO. It’s time to show your employer that you won’t accept them not listening to you.
