We had a hearing scheduled with the Fair Work Commission this morning to address the Mary Ogilvy Homes Society's (MOHS) breach of their agreement when it comes to approving annual leave.
However, the hearing was cancelled at the last minute after MOHS contacted us to let us know that they have processed all annual leave requests while the CEO is away and admitted that they have to respond to all leave requests within two weeks.
It’s totally unacceptable that they make workers have their lives on hold and wait until the CEO returns to be able to book any trips. Thanks and well done to all members who bought this issue to our attention so we could help resolve it.
We told MOHS that if they go back to ignoring leave requests, we’d have no other option but to lodge another dispute.
