LGH DEM update.

You may or may not have noticed there are things going on in Emergency, especially around rosters. HACSU has been supporting our members in trying to reach positive outcomes and there are a few updates we wanted to make sure you were aware of.

Following our meeting with Ward Clerks, David and Lorinda, we are looking to start the working group rolling asap. This was an important first step for us to hear from THS about the current situation. After we attend the first working group we will get in touch with a further update. From there, we can meet as a group to determine the agenda for our meeting with THS and what you want to see happen now that we’ve heard your NUM’s initial thoughts.

Recently for Support Officers and Hospital Aides we know that THS are moving to remove additional COVID shifts.

We don’t support reductions in DEM shifts at this vital time and have voiced our concerns to THS.

Are you worried about how these changes might impact service deliver or you directly? Let us know asap.

We’ll be on-site and looking to attend upcoming staff meetings so we can talk about where to from here. So please come and say g’day – it’s important that we are all on the same page in light of these changes.
