Just before Christmas we told you about the strange story that saw an Allied Health Professionals Agreement being registered by the government – despite HACSU members rejecting it.
The agreement that was registered is called the Allied Health Professionals Agreement Number 1 2022 and it’s temporary. The interim agreement does not represent the full offer, the terms and conditions that were agreed to, nor the commitment by the parties to reach a full agreement.
We’re still fighting to achieve the outcomes we set out for all those months ago and we’ll need to talk to you further about how we can do that together. Your AHP Executive will meet tomorrow, and we’ll have an update out about what we’ll be fighting for as well as where and when a meeting near you will happen.
Meetings will occur in all regions next week, so make sure you keep an eye out for further details.
It’s still important that we continue to campaign, we must show how important these issues are so we can convince the government it’s time to do more to improve allied health.
