There has been alot of back and forth with HRC after our member meetings a few weeks ago. We’ve taken on board your feedback and requested a better wage offer from HRC. However, HRC said 3% is the best they can do. So now it’s your opportunity to vote on this agreement.
 
Below is their final offer:

• 3% annual wage increase or FWC minimum wage increase, whichever is greater
• Paid for the time that it takes to complete any mandatory training
• Staff will be paid double time if called back from annual leave due to a COVID outbreak
• Increased nursing parental leave to 18 weeks for nurses to align with general staff
• Ability to split parental leave and non-primary carer one week top up
• Requests for study leave cannot be unreasonably refused
• Two days paid leave if unwell due to receiving vaccination
• Workload clause to provide and roster the care minutes required, as per the directive of the Aged Care Royal Commission

The access period for the draft agreement has started, and voting will open from 6.30am on Thursday 26 May and closes at 2pm on Friday 27 May. We'll update you once we receive the result of the ballot.
