HDCS reorganisation.

Cycle 2 ofthe HDCS divisional reorganisation has started with last week’s presentations for all staff to discuss the consultation feedback and the workforce implementation plan outcomes.

You should have the new SODs by now and we want to help you work through the differences because, while some positions will have little change, some will change a lot.

It’s really important that you check on any changes so we can give feedback and work out if anything’s not being covered or addressed.

After meeting with members twice last week these are the biggest concerns raised with us:

  • The closed merit process of applying for the roles in the “new world”. We’ll question why a band 2, now equivalent to a band 3, can’t apply for those positions.
  • Not enough band 2 positions.
  • How will flexible workplace arrangements look in the new world?
  • Applying for new bands and training that will be provided.
  • Redeployment process.

If something else crops up that we haven’t discussed, please let us or your delegate know so we can have all the concerns collated for our feedback response by 7 May.
