What members voted yes to.

The Hobart Clinic nurses’ agreement has finally been resolved with 21 yes votes out of 49 eligible votes returned.
What HACSU members fought for and won in this agreement is: 

  • A pay increase of 2.3% per annum
  • Immediate family clause updated to include significant other
  • Day worker is confirmed to be Monday to Friday
  • Any shifts worked over 8 hours in length paid at over time rates
  • Night shift loading increased to 27.5%
  • An additional 10 days for family violence leave (with employer discretion)
  • Internal DSP process increased from 10 to 15 working days and external from 10 to 14 days

Although that’s an ok outcome it’s very disappointing that the Hobart Clinic doesn’t see the need for nurses to have up to 12 weeks infectious diseases leave that hospital staff get.

We thank members for their persistence through this lengthy process and look forward to being able to visit them as soon as possible.
