Incorrect leave accrual.

As staff know by now, The Hobart Clinic has discovered an error in their payroll accrual entitlements.

We wrote to Kate Beven asking for clarity, evidence, and a breakdown regarding the audit and how the calculations were collated for each impacted employee.

We also requested information on who'll be performing the independent audit on behalf of The Hobart Clinic, and we'll strenuously argue that nobody should end up with a negative leave balance even if it's been proven that an error did occur.

The law is clear in these situations - if both parties believe at the time that the entitlements are validly accrued, approved and accessed there is no “overpayment”.
