There's obviously a lot of contact between staff and clients in the disability sector.

You can’t get any more hands on than helping people with their daily routines, whether that's assisting them to wash, shower, dress, feed, toilet or helping them attend medical care.

When you’re working hands-on all the time, the requirements of your job might seem to be at odds with the new requirements around hand-washing and social distancing.

You’d have seen we are putting it on both the government and individual employers to ensure that you are safe at work and able to access adequate personal protective equipment.

How is your employer going with this?

If you’ve got concerns about your safety or that of your clients, please let us know right away - we’re here to help.
