It’s time to get back to the bargaining table.

We met with Glenview management last week to pick up bargaining for a new agreement for non-nursing staff and an updated nurses agreement. Bargaining was postponed last year due to COVID-19 so it’s now time to get back to the table.
 
Glenview said they’ll be issuing the Notice of Representational Rights sometime this week and they also plan on drafting an agreement that includes the claims they agreed to upfront.
 
Here are some but not all of the claims you asked for:

  • 20 days of personal leave
  • Paid meal breaks for shift workers
  • Double time and a half pay for working on public holidays
  • Adding a workload clause into the agreement
  • Annual wage increases of 4.5%
  • Increase in the afternoon and night shift penalty


Let’s see what they agree to and keep negotiating from there. We'll update you once we get the draft document.
